1. What time is check in, and what time is check out?
When you make your booking, please ask for book in times and booking out times. We are only too happy to have early and late book ins/outs to suit your needs. If there are bookings prior to, or immediately after your booking, we will require sufficient time to clean the premises, and normally you are to vacate the premises by 10am, check in is 2pm.
2. Internet and mobile reception?
There are internet facilities available on weekends at reception from 10am – 4pm. You can, use wireless hot spot from your smart phones if you are with Optus or Telstra from most houses. Generally most mobile phones have reception on the property definitely not Vodaphone. Some cottages have a telephone for local calls only.
3. What do we need to bring with us?
You will need to bring sufficient food to last your stay. We do supply tea, coffee, sugar and a small amount of milk. All cooking utensils, crockery, toiletries, detergents and garbage bags are supplied. You will need to bring warm clothing in winter, generally 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Brisbane. Bring a torch, no street lights. Bring your camera to capture the beautiful surroundings. The nearest service station is at Highfields or Esk approx. 25-30 minutes away. The majority of cottages have washing machines, clothes dryers and irons/ironing boards on the premises. The restaurant is open weekends. Check website for operating hours.
4. Is all linen and bedding supplied?
We supply all linen and towels for the number of guests booked for existing bedding arrangements at the various cottages.
5. Who do we call in an emergency?

6. How do we get there, directions, GPS?
The GPS settings are: 3134 Esk Hampton Road, Ravensbourne. If you are coming from Brisbane via Esk, take a left turn at the Esk Shire Council building into Esk-Hampton Road, and head up the mountain. Exactly 3klm from the Ravensbourne sign you will see the entrance to the property, directions are located at the entrance and to each estate. We are one and a half hours from Brisbane, and 30 minutes from Esk. Coming from Toowoomba or Crows Nest direction, take the Esk-Hampton Road turn off and head south for approximately 14klm, 15 minutes approx. 200 metres from the Ravensbourne National Park Sign you will see the entrance on the right.
7. Where and how far is the nearest cafes/restaurants?
We have a restaurant on site ( Sketches)Friday from 5pm for take away and on Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (bookings required for evening) and from 9am until 4pm Sunday. See
web page for more details. There are several restaurants and cafes in Esk, approx. 30 minutes from the Resort, or head to Hampton (west) from the resort for approx .15 minutes. There are
numerous restaurants and interesting places to see and eat at on the way to Toowoomba (which is 40 minutes away), at Highfields approx. 25 minutes’ drive. Crows Nest is only 25 minutes in
the other direction and has many things of interest in the town. (See compendium in house for more details)
8. Are we able to bring pets?
Strictly no pets are allowed on the property. The Body Corporate By-Laws prohibit pets. This is mainly due to the abundant wildlife which is present on the property, birds, wallabies, koalas etc.
9. How do we gain access to the property?
We forward via text to your mobile phone the key safe access code the day before your booking. You will be required to return the key to the security cabinet each time you leave the premises and ensure the premises are locked and lock the security cabinet. We will make other arrangements with you prior to your arrival should you have no mobile phone access.
10. For open fires and gas fires, is wood and gas supplied?
We supply wood for open fires and gas for b-b-cues and gas fire places.

13. What can we do when we are there?
Firstly, RELAX…there’s no hurry here. Then you could arrange a massage in your cottage (refer to web site or arrange when booking); visit 3 local dams for fishing, boating and water skiing; or explore Ravensbourne National Park just 1km away, take an easy walk on bush trails; The Cuckoo Clock house only 25 minutes away, there are Art Galleries, Craft shops and many more attractions, or you can just relax in the peaceful surroundings.
